Phi Phi Islands are about 40 kilometers from Krabi Province. Phi Phi Islands are part of the Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park. In the past, the sea people called this island “Pulao Piapi”. The word “Pulao” means an island. The word “Piapi” means a type of sea tree such as mangrove and fern. Later, it was called “Ton Pi Pi”, which later became “Phi Phi”, which is called the kingdom of flowers under the sea. Most tourists who come to visit this island come to dive and see the beautiful coral, sea flowers and colorful fish. Phi Phi Islands consist of 2 large islands: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Le, and small neighboring islands: Koh Yung, Koh Mai Phai. Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Le are the main tourist attractions. They are large coves or bays with clean white sand beaches, suitable for swimming and viewing coral. Phi Phi Don was once ranked as one of the 10 most beautiful islands in the world. Phi Phi Don is the center of the Phi Phi Islands. It has accommodations, restaurants and complete facilities. It has beautiful scenery.
